I would love to get into forensic dentistry.

Multitalented.
What are you surprisingly good at/what is your hidden talent?
I have an artsy side and love to zone out on craft projects… I need to update my vision board.
What is your favorite thing about your career/job and how long have you been doing it?
I have worked in oral surgery since 2004 and my favorite thing about my job is the people. Every day I interact with all kinds of different personalities. I love the challenge of easing someone's worries or providing input to teammates to help them navigate challenges.

If you could spend a week anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
I would love to go back to Costa Rica and spend more time closer to the coast, maybe at Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio. I've explored La Fortuna and I fell in love with all the greenery, cute little monkeys and lemurs that wandered around and of course the food.
If you weren't doing what you do today, what other job would you have?
Either a forensic scientist or a forensic psychologist.
What one word best describes you?
Intuitive.
What are you surprisingly good at/what is your hidden talent?
I'm pretty good at cornhole/bag toss, and I don't play often. My hidden talent is hiding, even from me. 😁
What is your favorite thing about your career/job and how long have you been doing it?
I've been in the medical field since 2013. I love being a helping hand, a voice, and an advocate for patients when they are their most vulnerable.
If you could spend a week anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
There are so many places to go, but anywhere that has a peaceful beach.
If you weren't doing what you do today, what other job would you have?
Professional foodie, specialize in pasta and desserts.

Versatile.
What are you surprisingly good at/what is your hidden talent?
I was boxer in my past life.
What is your favorite thing about your career/job and how long have you been doing it?
I decided to take a break from the beauty industry after the pandemic hit. I'm new in the oral surgery field; however, I see all the growth that comes with it. I'm excited to learn new things and what 5+ years of experience with personal care services can integrate with it.

If you could spend a week anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
On a beach somewhere sipping a cocktail with my friends and/or loved ones.
If you weren’t doing what you do today, what other job would you have?
I would like to be an animal handler/caretaker.

Magnetic.
What are you surprisingly good at/what is your hidden talent?
I tend to receive Déjà Vu quite a bit, so I almost feel like I live out events twice.
What is your favorite thing about your career/job and how long have you been doing it?
I am fairly new to this job; however, I am experiencing some interesting and exciting cases- I am really enjoying it! My favorite part about my job is looking at our patient's x-rays.
If you could spend a week anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
If I could go anywhere in the world I think I would like to go Norway to explore and of course hike.
If you weren’t doing what you do today, what other job would you have?
I would like to be a medical examiner which is my end goal with school currently.

I am really good at baking.
What is your favorite thing about your career/job and how long have you been doing it?
I love doing the more intriguing cases or watching jaw surgeries. I have been in dental for 10 years total and the back office for almost 3 years now.

Although it might not be entirely realistic within a one week timeline, I’d love to backpack across India, Nepal, Tibet, and Bhutan.
If you weren't doing what you do today, what other job would you have?
If I weren’t in healthcare, I would likely have pursued a career in engineering.

I enjoy expressing myself through music and movement—it’s a fun way to connect with others and unwind!
What is your favorite thing about your career/job and how long have you been doing it?
I worked as a dental assistant one summer during college, and now as a recent graduate, I’m diving into the field of oral surgery. I find the opportunity for continual learning and growth to be the most rewarding aspect of my job.
